Koi dilchasp cheez is hafte dekha nahin — daftar mein kaam zyada tha 😅

Toh chalo, meri nani ka ek mazaaq suno:
"Kehte hain ki achchi dulhan duniya ke har kone mein milti hai.
Magar Khuda ne duniya gol bana di — toh dulhan kahan se milenge?" 🌀

Bas, ek joke tum logan ke liye. Agle hafte phir milenge, shayad kuch khas cheez bata dunga!

📚 Is Hafte Ki Practice:
Sona / sulana, hasna / hasana, ladhna / ladhana … in sab mein farq ek hi cheez ka hai: causative ending "-ana".

1️⃣ Seedha Rule
Verb-root + NA → kaam bolne-wala khud karta hai.
Verb-root + ANA / AANA / WAANA → bolne-wala kisi aur se wahi kaam karwata hai.

so → so-na "sleep" | su-la-na "put (someone) to sleep"
has → has-na "laugh" | ha-sa-na "make (someone) laugh"
lad → ladh-na "fight" | la-dha-na "make (someone) fight"
(Agar root ka aakhiri swar already 'a' ho, aksar -waana lagta hai: pak-a-na → pak-waana, uth-a-na → utha-waana.)

2️⃣ "M Bole To" (Munna Bhai MBBS)
Mashur film ke main theme gaane mein yeh form bohot istemaal hota hai. Ek baar gaana suno, aur dekhna kitni baar aata hai.

3️⃣ Quick Drill
Doctor ne patient ko ___ (hasana / hasna) chaaha.
Munna ne Dr. Rastoghi ko exam ___ (dena / dilwana) padaa.
Maa raat bhar baby ko ___ (sulana / sona) lagi.

  • — The world is round — so where are the corners? 😅
  • — The "-ana/-waana" causative rule 💪

Didn't see anything interesting this week — too much office work 😅

Here's a joke from my grandma instead:
"They say you can find a good bride in every corner of the world.
But God made the world round — so where are the corners?" 🌀

Just a joke for you all. See you next week — maybe I'll have something special to tell!

📚 Practice of the Week:
Sona / sulana, hasna / hasana, ladhna / ladhana — the difference is the causative ending "-ana".

1️⃣ Basic Rule
Verb root + NA → the speaker performs the action themselves.
Verb root + ANA / AANA / WAANA → the speaker makes someone else perform that action.

so → so-na "to sleep" | su-la-na "to put someone to sleep"
has → has-na "to laugh" | ha-sa-na "to make someone laugh"
lad → ladh-na "to fight" | la-dha-na "to make someone fight"
If the root already ends in the vowel 'a', we often use -waana: pak-a-na → pak-waana, uth-a-na → utha-waana.

2️⃣ "M Bole To" (Munna Bhai MBBS)
The main theme song of this classic film uses the causative form a lot. Listen and see how many times you spot it.

3️⃣ Quick Drill (say aloud)
The doctor wanted to ___ (hasana / hasna) the patient.
Munna had to ___ (dilwana / dena) Dr. Rastogi take the exam.
Mom spent the whole night ___ (sulana / sona) the baby.

Real talk: not much coding this week… I needed a break (sometimes when I code the entire day, I go a little crazy). I honestly don't know what direction to take Desi Dictions in, so I've been thinking a lot about the product. I have a few ideas, so you can see this was a product planning week
Check the Roadmap tomorrow for updates — it's late and I need sleep so I won't update it now!
