Newsletter #1: Welcome Beta Testers & Roadmap

Welcome to our first 23 users!

Whether you joined through my persuasive texts, in-person requests, or from Reddit—thank you from the bottom of my heart! Seeing our user count grow (even though no subscribers yet!) keeps me motivated to make Desi Dictions better every day.

What's Next for Desi Dictions?

I recently showed the app to my mom (in her mid-50s), and she was utterly confused about what to do. This clearly means it's time for some UI improvements!

Over the next few weeks, I'll be transforming Desi Dictions into a more modern AI app. We'll adopt a familiar chat-style interface (think ChatGPT or Claude) to simplify card creation and navigation.

The goal? Empower our AI tutor to autonomously:

• Generate personalized vocab quizzes and reading passages.
• Create grammar-focused quizzes and content.

This upgrade should keep me busy throughout the summer!

Additionally, expect:

• A roadmap page on the website so you can vote on upcoming features.
• Performance improvements to make the app lightning-fast.

Future Newsletter Plans

I'll soon start writing newsletters primarily in Romanized Hindi/Urdu, along with fun and easy reading passages in Urdu/Hindi to boost everyone's skills. I promise not to spam you! Plus, an unsubscribe feature is coming soon (yes, you can't leave just yet!).

Eventually, newsletter lessons will integrate seamlessly into the app's quizzes and reviews, but this feature is currently lower priority.
